To further enhance the market leadership in textile sector, the company installed Atlas Copco’s “The modular air piping system – AIRnet”. With its smart design and material it delivers quality air , from the compressor to the point of use.

AIRnet is fast, easy and reliable.  AIRnet installation is very easy and quick as no welding, gluing or crimping is required. AIRnet modular system of corrosion resistant anodised aluminium pipes are highly durable and feature self-aligning, fully sealed polymer fittings with integrated O-rings that eliminate any possibility of leaks..  Hence, due to low pressure drop and bigger inner diameter, high efficiency is achieved.  In compliance with industrial standards, AIRnet pipes are pre-painted in Blue (for compressed  air) or Green (for nitrogen gas) for easy network identification.

Installing AIRnet system helps in saving energy and reduction in CO2 emissions.  At Siyaram, AIRnet piping system is installed on Atlas Copco 250 kW compressor, which enables the pressure drop  by  0.2 bar, results in energy saving of 3.5 kW per hour.  The leakage through a 3 mm diameter hole leads to energy loss of  3.1 kW per hour. Considering that the compressor runs 8000 hours in a year, the annual savings in energy consumption is close  to 56, 000 kWh. This reduces the CO2 emission by 54 tons per year which is equivalent  to planting  2400 trees in 10 years.
